Splitting divides a PDF into smaller files — by page range, into single pages, or by a custom selection. It is the tool for pulling a chapter out of a manual, separating a statement so you share only certain months, or breaking a large report into parts.
Splitting runs locally in your browser, so the pages you do not share never leave your device. See our splitting guide for the different modes.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many pages can I split?
There is no page limit — only your device memory sets the ceiling.
Can I extract non-consecutive pages?
The range mode extracts a continuous block. For non-consecutive pages, use the Extract Pages tool which lets you pick individual pages.
Will the output files be smaller?
Yes — each output file contains only its pages and associated resources, so it will be smaller than the original.
