About PDFelly

Free, private, browser-based PDF tools — built by a real team that believes your documents are your business.

What PDFelly is

PDFelly is a collection of 28 free PDF tools that run entirely inside your web browser. You can merge, split, compress, convert, sign, redact, protect and reorganise PDF files without creating an account and without sending a single byte to a server. Every operation happens locally on your own device using JavaScript and WebAssembly, which means your documents never leave the tab you are working in.

The project exists because most "free online PDF" services work by uploading your file to a remote server, processing it there, and then letting you download the result. For a tax return, a signed contract, a medical record or a passport scan, that upload is exactly the part you should be worried about. PDFelly removes the upload entirely.

Who is behind it

PDFelly is built and operated by Jackrabbit Exports Private Limited, a company registered in Mumbai, India. We are a small, independent team of engineers who build practical web products. We are not funded by selling data, and the tools are not a front end for a paid desktop suite. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising and nothing else.

You can reach us at info@jackrabbit.in or through our contact page. Our registered address is Knox Plaza, Mindspace, Malad West, Mumbai 400064, India. We respond to genuine questions, bug reports and privacy requests from real people.

How PDFelly is different

How we make money

PDFelly is free to use. Running a website still costs money, so we display advertising through Google AdSense. Ads are kept out of the way of the tools themselves, and because processing is local, advertisers never receive your documents or their contents. You can read more about how data is handled on our privacy page and our privacy commitment.

Our commitment

We will keep the core promise of this site simple: your files stay on your device. We will not add a hidden upload step, we will not start harvesting document contents, and we will keep telling you honestly what each tool can and cannot do. If we ever change how data is handled, that change will be documented on this site before it takes effect.
