Frequently Asked Questions
Does this crack passwords?
No — you must enter the correct password. PDFelly uses it to open the document and saves a decrypted copy. Selectable text is preserved when the encryption type allows it.
What if I forgot the password?
PDFelly cannot recover or crack forgotten passwords. If you no longer have the password, the file cannot be unlocked here.
Will it remove print or copy restrictions too?
Owner-level restrictions (print lock, copy lock) are removed when the document is re-saved, as long as you supply the correct password.
